Sunday Overnights: CBS Tops Modest Evening

'Big Brother' Will Dominate the Evening in Adults 18-49 (and All the Key Demos)

Sunday, July 29, 2018

Household Rating/Share
CBS: 3.2/ 6, ABC: 2.8/ 5, NBC: 2.3/ 4, Fox: 0.8/ 1

-Percent Change from the Year-Ago Evening:
NBC: +39, CBS: + 6, ABC: no change, CW: -33

-Ratings Analysis:
There was nothing to report of note on this typically quiet summer Sunday. The 8-9 p.m. edition of “Big Brother” on CBS (#1: 3.7 rating/8 share) will easily top the evening in adults 18-49 (and all the key demos). Note to producer Allison Grodner: new need to start seeing more of floaters like Angela and Kaycee as the house gets smaller.

ABC game shows “The $100,000 Pyramid” (3.0/ 6) and “To Tell the Truth” (2.4/ 5) led the 9-11 p.m. block, with “To Tell the Truth,” hosted by Anthony Anderson, two-tenths of a rating point (or 9 percent) above the final season of crime solver “Shades of Blue” on NBC (2.2/ 4 at 10 p.m).

The only other original programming option last night was “One Strange Rock” on Fox at a 0.6/ 1 (#4) in the 7 p.m. hour.
