ABC Renews ‘The Toy Box’ for Season Two

Competition Series Expected Back in Midseason

ABC has issued a second season renewal to “Shark Tank”-like “The Toy Box,” with an unconfirmed number of new episodes for 2017-18. Hosted by “Modern Family’s” Eric Stonestreet, the series features the toy invention process in a high-stakes competition format with a panel of no-nonsense, toy-loving kids who serve as the judges. The winner gets the opportunity to bring their creation to market, with marketing, design and manufacturing support from Mattel. The winning toy design will be available for purchase at retail as the season finale airs.

The series debuted on Friday, April 7 and ran for eight episodes.
