Amazon Renews ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ for Season 3

Ten Additional Episodes Are Expected

Optimistic Amazon has greenlit critically acclaimed drama “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” prior to its second season run. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino confirmed the pick up while accepting a Peabody Award on Saturday. The series also won two Golden Globes in January for comedy series and lead comedy actress for star Rachel Brosnahan and it expected to rack up considerable Emmy attention.

Rachel Brosnahan stars as Miriam “Midge” Maisel in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” a Jewish housewife in 1950s New York City who finds her path to personal liberation through the city’s bourgeoning stand-up comedy scene. A second season of the show is due out later this year.
