Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Bodybuilding Drama ‘Pump’ Lands at CBS TV Studios

Eight Episodes to Be Produced; No Network Attached Yet

Scripted drama “Pump,” which was originally sold to Showtime in 2013, is now in development at CBS Television Studios. The series, which will star Schwarzenegger and will run for eight episodes, is set in the early 1970s in Venice Beach, California where Schwarzenegger got his start as a bodybuilder. Schwarzenegger and series creator Michael Konyves will be joined by producers Randall Emmett and George Furla, CEOs of Emmett/Furla/Oasis, and Eric Tannenbaum, CEO of the Tannenbaum company. Bryan Goluboff, most recently of “Blue Bloods,” will serve as showrunner. No network is attached to the project yet, with Schwarzenegger’s agency, CAA, set to sell domestic rights to the series.

Schwarzenegger will also be seen on NBC in the upcoming edition of “Celebrity Apprentice” in place of Donald Trump.
