AXS TV Greenlights Eddie Money Reality Series ‘Real Money’

AXS TV has ordered a new 10-episode reality series tentatively titled “Real Money,” which will follow the daily lives of multi-platinum rock legend Eddie Money and his family. The series began production yesterday and will include candid moments with Money as he deals with the struggles and joys of life at home with his wife, five children and eight pets.

The logline: With a legendary career spanning over 40 years, Eddie Money has long-established himself as one of rock’s most beloved entertainers. After leaving his native Brooklyn for the Berkeley music scene in the 1970s, Money quickly rose to fame on the strength of a slew of successful albums and Top 40 hits including “Take Me Home Tonight,” “Shakin’,” “Think I’m In Love,” “Baby Hold On,” and many more. Now, at 68 years old, Money continues to tour across the country with his band, which includes three of his equally talented offspring.

“Following the success of our original series “Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar,” which gives viewers a unique glimpse at a new rock icon each week, we wanted to expand our lineup with another high-quality show that would resonate with our audience in the same way,” said Evan Haiman, AXS TV’s Vice President of Music Programming and Production. “‘Real Money’ is that perfect complement, taking fans inside the world of one of the hardest-working men in rock, and putting the spotlight on a fun and fascinating family dynamic that is as entertaining as it is heartwarming.”
