‘The Brady Bunch’s’ Susan Olsen Fired From Radio Hosting Gig

Former Child Star Axed After Making Reported Homophobic Comments

It looks like of that youngest Brady girl with hair of gold has gotten herself in some hot water. Susan Olsen, who played youngest daughter Cindy Brady on classic sitcom “The Brady Bunch,” was fired from her hosting gig on a Los Angeles-based radio show after she posted a homophobic rant on Facebook.

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, activist and producer Leon Acord-Whiting slammed Olsen after appearing as a guest on “Two Chicks Talkin’ Politics,” a show that Olsen, 55, co-hosted with Sheena Metal on LA Talk Radio. He accused Olsen of spreading “outrageous misinformation,” including the idea that a person can’t be a liberal and a patriot at the same time.

Olsen, in response, referred to Acord-Whiting as a “little piece of human waste” on her Facebook page. Acord-Whiting then posted a screenshot of a private message Olsen sent him. In response, LA Talk Radio announced on Friday on Facebook that it had “severed ties” with an unnamed host due to hateful speech aimed at the LGBT community.

LA Talk Radio takes pride in its close and collaborative relationship with the LGBT community, and will continue to provide a home for those who have hopeful and positive messages of togetherness and tolerance to share with our listeners,” the station wrote in a statement on Facebook. “We will not tolerate hateful speech by anyone associated with our radio station and have severed our ties with a host that veered off the direction in which we are going.”
