Over 9-Million Viewers for ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ Season Opener

Close to 7-Million for Singular Telecast Premiere

“American Horror Story: Cult,” the anthology series from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, drew 6.91 million total viewers and 4.56 million adults 18-49 for its premiere telecast on Tuesday, September 5th (from 10 PM-11:07 p.m.), based on the Live + Same Day data. Including two encore telecasts and all non-linear data currently available, “AHS: Cult” premiered to 9.01 million Total Viewers.

Comparably, the season premiere of “AHS: Cult” is now the second most-watched basic cable entertainment program of 2017 year-to-date in both total viewers and adults 18-49 – behind only “The Walking Dead” on AMC.

The premiere of “AHS: Cult” was also more time-shifted than any previous “AHS” premiere in both benchmarks.
