OWN Orders ‘House of Payne’ Spin-Off ‘The Paynes’ Series from Tyler Perry

OWN has picked up 38 episodes of a spin-off sitcom from “House of Payne” called “The Paynes,” which will feature Curtis (LaVan Davis) and Ella Payne (Cassi Davis) as they try to enjoy their retirement in Florida only to get roped into a real estate deal that will tumble their lives like clothes in a dryer. It is set to premiere in 2018.

Additionally, OWN has given a two season (44 episode) pick-up to Tyler Perry drama “The Haves and the Have Nots” and an 18 episode renewal to Perry’s “If Loving You Is Wrong.” Perry sitcoms “Love Thy Neighbor” and “For Better or Worse” will be officially concluding, meanwhile, with both moving to Saturday for their final seasons. The former will launch season four on Saturday, March 4 and the latter will begin its sixth season on Saturday, June 10. Both series will air through 2017 with 22 and 20 new episodes, respectively.
