Showtime Greenlights ‘Homeland’ and ‘The Affair’ for 2016-17

Upcoming on the paid Cable Net is Drama 'Billions' and Comedies 'Roadies' and 'Dice'

Showtime as issued pick-ups to dramas “Homeland” and “The Affair,” with an unconfirmed number of new episodes each for next season.  This will take “Homeland,” which debuted on Oct. 2, 2011, into season six.  Sixty episodes in total have been produced to-date.  And “The Affair,” which launched on Oct. 12, 2014, will head into season three.  Both scripted hours their current seasons on December 20.

The current roster of original programming on Showtime also includes dramas “Masters of Sex,” “Penny Dreadful,” “Ray Donovan” and upcoming “Billions;” dramedy “Shameless;” and comedies “Episodes,” “House of Lies” and upcoming “Roadies” and “Dice” with comedian Andrew Dice Clay.
