Spike TV Orders Miniseries ‘The Mist’

Stephen King story Previously Made into a 2007 Film

Spike TV has given a 10-episode order to miniseries “The Mist,” based on the Stephen King tale of a group of Maine residents trapped in a grocery store after a mysterious mist full of strange creatures covers the town. The 1980 story was previously made into a 2007 film by Frank Darabont and starring Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden and Andre Braugher.

Filming will begin this summer, with an expected debut sometime in 2017. The new series, which has not been cast yet, will be written and executive-produced by Danish scribe Christian Torpe.
