TNT Cancels Period Drama ‘Will’

Ten Episodes in Total Aired

TNT has opted against a second season of scripted period drama “Will,” which told the story of William Shakespeare (Laurie Davidson) played to a modern soundtrack before he became one of the most famous playwrights of all time. Premiering on July 10, “Will” was originally ordered to series at now defunct cable network Pivot in 2013, but was never broadcast, and its demise is a reflection of the lack of interest. Only 697,000, on average, tuned in, and the rating in coveted adults 18-49 was a mere 0.2.

Ten episodes of “Will” aired in total, and the now series-finale was on September 4.
