TV Upfronts: Crown Media at The Rainbow Room

Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Build Momentum Among Women 25-54

Crown Media, the home of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, hosted an upfront dinner on Wednesday featuring “Home & Family” hosts Mark Steines and Debbie Matenopolous and a performance by Jewel at the famed Rainbow Room at 30 Rock in New York City. Hallmark Channel, which currently features scripted dramas “When Calls the Heart,” “The Good Witch” and “Chesapeake Shores,” will feature 60 new original movies in the upcoming season. Jewel, the newest member of the growing artillery of actors appearing regularly on the networks of Crown Media, is currently headlining and executive producing a real estate mystery franchise for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, based on Kate Carlisle’s Fixer-Upper Mystery books. The first installment, “Framed for Murder: A Fixer Upper Mystery,” aired in January.

“Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are, quite simply, two of the most trusted brands on television. And based on recent news, with major advertisers pulling their ads from digital platforms that deliver objectionable, off-brand content, it is clear how incredibly important it is for you to trust that your commercial messages air in a safe environment,” said Ed Georger, Crown Media’s EVP of Advertising & Digital Sales as he touted growth for both outlets among target women 25-54. “When you buy into both these channels, they’ve been delivering on their promises. That’s part of our celebration story.”
