CBS Renews ‘Life in Pieces’

First Freshman CBS Series to Be Officially Renewed

CBS has issued a second season renewal to sitcom “Life in Pieces,” with an unspecified number of new episodes for 2016-17. Benefiting airing out of “The Big Bang Theory,” “Life in Pieces” is this season’s top-rated comedy in total viewers (10.53 million), adults 18-49 (2.7 rating) and adults 25-54 (3.7), according to Nielsen. Keep in mind, however, that this is still about 40-45 percent below “The Big Bang Theory.”

“Life in Pieces” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Kapital Entertainment. And it is now the first CBS freshman series from this season to be officially renewed. Waiting word on their fate are scripted hours “Limitless,” “Code Black,” “Supergirl,” “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” and “Rush Hour.”
