‘CSI: Cyber’ Axed by CBS

The Fate of Five Current CBS Series Still to Be Determined

CBS has canceled “CSI: Cyber,” the third – and final – spin-off from the original “CSI” franchise. Launched on March 4, 2015, this will be the first time since 2000 that CBS will be entering a new season without a “CSI”-branded series on its line-up. The original series concluded last fall after 15 seasons, “CSI: Miami” ran from 2002-12 and “CSI: NY” from 2004-13.

With “CSI” Cyber” history, the fate of five CBS series remain up in the air: dramas “Limitless,” “Code Black” and “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders;” dramedy “Rush Hour;” and sophomore sitcom “The Odd Couple.”
