The CW Announces Midseason Line-Up

The Network to Introduce Hour-Long Scripted Series 'Black Lightning' and 'Life Sentence'

The CW will introduce two new series, comic book-themed “Black Lightning” and one-hour comedy “Life Sentence,” and it will back dramas “iZombie,” “The 100” and the final season of “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off “The Originals” in midseason.

”Black Lightning,” based on the D.C. comic book character of the same name, debuts in the Tuesday 9 p.m. hour (out of “The Flash”) on Tuesday, Jan. 16. ‘iZombie” will air in the Monday 9 p.m. hour (out of relocated “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow”) effective on Feb. 26. “Life Sentence” will open on Wednesday, March 17 at 9 p.m. (out of “Riverdale”). “Dynasty” will shift to Friday at 8 p.m. (into “The Originals” at 9 p.m.) on April 20. And “The 100” steps in for “Black Lightning” in the Tuesday p.m. hour on April 24. Here is the upcoming CW schedule reflecting the changes:
