Amazon Renews ‘Goliath’ for Season Two

Series Star Billy Bob Thornton Won a Golden Globe Award for Season One

Amazon has issued a second season pick-up to Billy Bob Thornton drama “Goliath,” with an unconfirmed number of new episodes. Debuting on Dec. 1, 2015, “Goliath” centers on a washed-up lawyer (Thornton) who has one shot at redemption after a client he successfully defended from a murder charge went on to slaughter a family. Eight episodes were produced in season one.

“Goliath” comes from Amazon Studios, David E. Kelley Productions, and Jonathan Shapiro Productions. William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Maria Bello, Molly Parker, Sarah Wynter, Harold Perrineau and Jason Ritter rounding off the cast. Clyde Phillips (“Dexter,” “Nurse Jackie”) will take over the reins as showrunner and executive producer.
