Ratings Breakdown:
It was all about NBC last night, not surprisingly, with the 24 to 19 victory for the Philadelphia Eagles over the New York Giants at an estimated 9.7 rating/15 share in the household overnights from 8:30-11:30 p.m. ET. Combined with live coverage on the NFLN and the household rating rose to an approximate 12.5. The adult 18-49 rating was a 6.3. Comparably, NBC beat the four competing networks combined in households.

As a reminder, results for any live sporting event are always approximate.

On ABC, the umpteenth encore telecast of animated “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (#3: 3.5/ 6 at 8 p.m.) led into a modest 2.8/ 5, on average, for two episodes of “The Great American Baking Show” from 9-11 p.m.

The only other original programming option last night was The CW”s failing short-form “Terry Crews Saves Christmas” at a 0.6/ 1 in the household overnights at 8 p.m. That led into a 0.5/ 1 for an encore of “Supernatural” at 9 p.m.

Elsewhere, CBS traveled the all repeat sitcom route with “The Big Bang Theory” (#1: 5.3/ 9), “The Great Indoors” (#3: 3.3/ 5), “Mom” (#3: 3.0/ 5) and three episodes of “Life In Pieces” avg. 2.5/ 4 from 9:30-11 p.m.). And Fox aired back-to-back encore telecasts of “Hell’s Kitchen,” which averaged a 1.3/ 2 from 8-10 p.m.
