Early Preview of ‘American Idol’ on ABC

During the Nov. 19 telecast of the “American Music Awards 2017“, ABC featured three prospective contestants for their upcoming “American Idol” — all female — who each performed a snippet of a tune. Viewers were then asked to vote for their favorite auditioning performer. The top vote-getter will advance to Hollywood, as announced during the Nov. 20 edition of “Dancing with the Stars.”

“American Idol” is hosted by Ryan Seacrest with Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan as judges. It will make its ABC network debut on Sunday, Mar. 11, 2018.
