Fergie’s National Anthem Performance at NBA All-Star Game Elicits Unintentional Laughter

Pop/hip-hop star Fergie, formerly of the music group The Black Eyed Peas, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, Calif. on Feb. 18. Her jazz-inspired rendition received mixed reactions from those among the Staples Center crowd and even harsher feedback on social media.

The two most notable and visible reactions were by Golden State Warriors All-Star player Draymond Green who couldn’t help himself cracking up in laughter and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel who sported a smile on his face.
