Former Eagles Kicker David Akers Trolls the Dallas Cowboys at the 2018 NFL Draft

David Akers, the legendary Philadelphia Eagles kicker and all-time leading scorer of their franchise, was the representative to announce the Eagles’ second round pick (49th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Akers prefaced that announcement of South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert with touting his “world champion” Eagles team and remarking “Hey Dallas, the last time you were in a Super Bowl, these draft picks weren’t born.”

With the draft taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — the home of the Dallas Cowboys — most of the crowd unsurprisingly booed Akers.

However, the NFL Network/Fox crew — hosted by Rich Eisen — had a good laugh.
