Fox Cancels Four Freshman Sitcoms

It is Back to Square One on Fox in the New Sitcom Department

Fox has swung the proverbial axe on freshman comedies “Grandfathered,” “The Grinder,” “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” and animated “Bordertown.” “Grandfathered” with John Stamos and “The Grinder” with Rob Lowe were launched last fall, while the latter two were in midseason. Stamos, however, is expected to make appearances on season two of Netflix’s “Fuller House,” which returned to production this week.

Comparably, none of the new comedies launched on Fox this season made it into season two.

  1. I couldn’t get into the Grinder or Grandfathered. Bordertown was unwatchable from what I saw. Cooper Barritt actually got kinda funny towards the end. Missed a chance with that one.

  2. A standing ovation to FOX for getting rid of these low-rated turkeys. I originally didn’t think FOX had the guts to make such a decision but they surprised me and they did just that. FOX needs to stop picking up these niche comedies for real and get back to their Malcolm in the Middle slash That’s 70s Show days of watchable comedies.

John Stamos will be alright he has Fuller House which is great.
