Freeform Developing ‘Bad Dates’ Sitcom From “Veep” Star

Timothy Simons Will Executive Produce

Freeform just put a new comedy into development produced by “Veep” star Timothy Simons. called “Bad Dates,” which will showcase regular everyday people’s worst and most awkward dating experiences, reenacted. The proposed series is co-written by Derek Elliott and Jack Donaldson, who also have a CBS series in development called “The Whole Nine.” Simons, who plays Congressman Jonah Ryan on “Veep,” will serve as producer and will not appear on camera.

“Bad Dates” joins a growing slate of comedies in development at Freeform including “Brown Girls,” “Alone Together” and a late night show hosted by Iliza Shlesinger.
