The game drew 6.45 million viewers across FS1, Fox Deportes and Fox Sports Go; FS1’s audience was 6.16 million viewers — the TV-only figure up 50 percent from last year’s ALCS Game 1 on TBS (Blue Jays-Indians 4.11 million) and up 4 percent from last year’s NLCS Game 1 on FS1 (Dodgers-Cubs 5.92 million).
Viewership for Yankees-Astros ALCS Game 1 peaked between 11:00-11:15 p.m. with 7.175 million viewers.
Houston was the game’s highest-rated market with a 13.8 rating/24 share, representing 340,465 households. New York had a 13.4 rating/23 share, representing an average audience of 948,016 households.
