FX Renews ‘Atlanta’ and ‘Better Things’ for Season Two

Both Series to Return with 10 New Episodes

FX has issued a second season renewal to recent entries “Atlanta” and “Better Things,” each with an order for 10 new episodes. Debuting on Sept. 6, “Atlanta” is the coming-of-age story following a man named Earn (Donald Glover) in his daily life in the city of Atlanta, as he tries to redeem himself in the eyes of his girlfriend and mother of his daughter, his parents and his cousin. “Better Things,” from Pamela Adlon and Louis CK, centers on a single, working actress named Sam (Pamela Adlon) who has no filter raising her three daughters, Max (Mike Madison), Frankie (Hannah Alligood) and Duke (Olivia Edward) in Los Angeles. Sam also looks after her mother (Celia Imrie), who lives across the street.

Interesting footnote: Olivia Edward is the daughter of medium John Edward, whose presence as host of daytime talk show “Crossing Over with John Edward” is sorely missed.
