‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling Dies of an Apparent Suicide

Salling is Now the Second Former 'Glee' Star to Die, Following Cory Monteith

Mark Salling, who played Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Fox musical dramedy “Glee,” was found dead yesterday of an apparent suicide, the LAPD confirmed to KTLA. Law enforcement officials said a body was found hanging from a tree near the Los Angeles River in Sunland, California shortly after a family member reported him as a missing person.

Salling, who was arrested in December 2015 at his home on a charge of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, was awaiting sentencing at the time of his reported death. His guilty plea came nearly two years after investigators discovered more than 50,000 images and videos of child pornography on his laptop.

Salling is now the second former “Glee” actor to have died. Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, in July 2013 from an accidental drug overdose. He was 35.
