So glad you put the weekend polls back up Marc, they’re always really fun and tough to decide. There’s so many great TV dads in the history of television and I’m a television historian myself so I started to go the old school route here with sitcom dads but I actually went new school and picked a drama dad in Frank Gallagher from Shameless he’s probably the worst father in this list but the most entertaining to watch. Dude is all over the place on that show as William H. Macy does one helluva job playing the character on that show.
My number 2 would’ve been Danny Tanner as he’s probably the most popular dad on this entire list so gotta go with him. When you think of TV dads you think of him or Archie Bunker. Blake and J.R. are two of my favorite characters but father wise not so much.
My two favorites are Mike Brady and Jim Anderson. It was a close call, but I chose that father who know best…Robert Young!
Tom Bradford…Eight is Enough!
Charles Ingalls gets my vote for “Best Dad”.
