HBO Sitcom ‘Girls’ to Conclude After Season Six

The Upcoming Fifth Season Begins on February 21

HBO comedy “Girls,” which premiered on April 15, 2012, is concluding after the sixth season according to a report by E! Online. HBO declined comment.

Described as a 20something version of “Sex and the City,” series star Lena Dunham has said she envisioned the series ending after six seasons, which would coincide when she turns 30. The fifth season of “Girls” will return on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 10 p.m. ET.

Sixty episodes in total are expected once the series ends.
