Homer Simpson to Go Live on ‘The Simpsons’

Dan Castellaneta Will Act Out the Animated Character in Real Time

In what is a first for any animated series historically, the character of Homer Simpson will appear live (via motion capture technology) at the conclusion the May 15th broadcast of Fox granddaddy “The Simpsons.” The live three minutes will have Homer talking about topical news and possibly answering questions from social media. Dan Castellaneta, the actor who has voiced Homer since 1989, will act out the character in real time.

Fans will be able to tweet questions for Homer to answer using the hashtag #HomerLive. They can send him questions between May 1 and May 4.
