Julia Louis-Dreyfus to Produce Miniseries ‘Soldier Girls’ for HBO

Project Based on the Best-Selling Book by Helen Thorpe

“Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus will have double-duty at HBO as one of the producers of upcoming miniseries “Soldier Girls.” Based on the 2014 non-fiction book “Soldier Girls: The Battles of Three Women at Home and at War” by Helen Thorpe, “Soldier Girls” tells the real-life story of three women who enlist in the National Guard and serve their country during the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, which leads them to form life-long friendships.

Former soldier Nicole Riegel will write the adaptation in her TV debut and will serve as co-producer. Louis-Dreyfus will executive produce alongside her producing partner/husband, Brad Hall.
