  1. Hairspray didn’t do as well as NBC had in previous live December installments. I am a touch shocked. Saw a lot of positive buzz on social media last night.

    Arrow crash lands back down to Earth after being very high last week with the crossover event.

    • It goes to show that impressions derived from social media are not correlated with actual interest in the population as a whole.

      Also keep in mind that networks/studios do use “street teams” (or perhaps “virtual street teams” now!) to give an impression of buzz on social media and the internet in general.

      On Arrow: Highly promoted events do liven up the ratings, but that usually doesn’t last long. You have to keep doing it to get results.

      Empire: Amazed at how low their numbers were this week.
