Reality Star Loses Battle with Brain and Lung Cancer

Reality star Angela “Big Raiola, better known as “Big Ang” on VH1’s “Mob Wives” died this morning after a year-long battle with stage 4 brain and lung cancer. A source said she was suffering from pneumonia. She was 55. Raiola, who was diagnosed last year with throat cancer and underwent several surgeries, was the niece of a reputed captain of the Genovese crime family.

According to her rep on Instagram: “It is with sad regret that we inform you that at 3:01AM Angela Raiola peacefully ended her battle with cancer, and was called home. She was surrounded by nothing but love from her immediate family, and closest friends. YOU, (Her fans) were some of the most special people in her world, and she loved you immensely.”
