Monday Cable Final Nationals: Rose Bowl Double-Overtime Classic on ESPN Networks Ranks Fifth All-Time on Cable

The nearly 27 million viewers for the Georgia-Oklahoma Rose Bowl Game simulcast on ESPN and ESPN2 is the fifth most-watched cable telecast of all time. As a result, the College Football Playoff system now represents four of the five most-watched cable telecasts of all time.

ESPN’s presentation of the entire New Year’s Six averaged nearly 15 million viewers and will become the most-watched New Year’s Six once streaming audience is fully reported. Currently, this year’s presentation of the six games is up 9 percent from last year, 24 percent from the 2015 season.

Birmingham was the No. 1 local market for both CFP Semifinal games, delivering a 42.8 rating for the Rose Bowl and 55.7 for the Sugar Bowl. Oklahoma City (35.9) was the runner-up Rose Bowl market; Greenville (32.7) runner-up for Sugar Bowl.

  1. Hi Doug, this is a pretty big request, but do you have Unikitty from Cartoon Network every hour from 6am to 7pm? Thanks!

    • Doug only does 2 requests at a time so I’ll post what I’ve seen elsewhere, and he can probably help with some of the rest.
