-Ratings Breakdown:
In season-premiere news, season two of CBS scripted drama “Salvation” was left at the 9-10 p.m. ET starting gate, with a 2.4/ 4 in households. Comparably, that was 25 percent below its 3.2/ 6 debut in the Wednesday 9 p.m. hour (out of “Big Brother”) on July 12, 2017. And concerning was a loss of 12 percent in household rating in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour (2.6/ 4 to 2.3/ 4).

CBS got a minor uptick in the Monday 10 p.m. hour care of older skewing “Elementary” at a 2.8/ 5 (#1).

Healthy “The Bachelorette” led ABC to another Monday overnight victory (and a certain win in adults 18-49 and all the key demos), with a 4.3 rating/7 share in households from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that was five percent above the 4.1/ 7 on the year-ago week. And it led into week two of non-scripted “The Proposal” at a 2.6/ 5 (#2), which was on par to its week-ago debut.

NBC, on the flipside, has sprung an unexpected leak, with summer staple “American Ninja Warrior” dipping to a 2.5/ 5 in households from 9-11 p.m. Comparably, that was 26 percent below the 3.4/ 6 one year earlier (from 8-10 p.m.).

Earlier in the evening was NBC’s perennially low-rated “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” at a 2.1/ 4 in the 8 p.m. hour, which trailed competing “So You Think You Can Dance” on Fox (2.4/ 4) by 12 percent.

Also original last night was “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” in the 9 p.m. half-hour at a modest 0.8/ 1.
