MTV to Revive ‘Jersey Shore’

New Series to Be Called 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'

MTV is hoping lightning will strike twice in a new edition of docuseries “Jersey Shore” called “Jersey Shore Vacation” in 2018, which will reunite past cast members Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. The one person not returning as Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who at present runs her own online boutique, Sweetheart Styles.

The announcement came during the Monday-night premiere of new copycat reality series “Floribama Shore.”
The original “Jersey Shore,” created by SallyAnn Salsano, ran for six editions on MTV from 2009 to 2012 and spun-off “Snooki & Jwoww” and “The Pauly D Project.”

Salsano’s 495 Productions will produce the new series, with Salsano again serving as executive producer. Nina L. Diaz and Jackie French will exec produce for MTV.
