NBA Finals Analyst Jeff Van Gundy Gets Distracted by Rihanna During the Game

During the first quarter of Game 1 of the 2017 NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors at Oakland’s Oracle Arena, Cavaliers superstar LeBron James made an impressive dunk. But, in a humorous moment, that dunk didn’t catch the primary attention of ABC/ESPN NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy — instead, he had made note of pop superstar Rihanna walking past his table towards her front row seat, prompting Van Gundy’s on-air announcing partners Mike Breen and Mark Jackson to tease him a bit about the distraction. Van Gundy then passively commented on the replay of James’ dunk, “What a play.”
