NBC Renews ‘Superstore’ for Season Three

Twenty Two New Episodes Ordered

NBC has issued an early third season pickup to sitcom “Superstore,” with an order for 22 new episodes for 2017-18. “Superstore” joins former freshman lead-out “The Good Place,” which was recently renewed for a 13-episode second season, and the confirmed revival of “Will & Grace,” which will return with 10 new episodes.

Debuting on Nov. 30, 2-15, “Superstore” follows a group of employees working at “Cloud 9,” a fictional department store in St. Louis. It stars America Ferrera, who also serves as producer, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Bloom, and Mark McKinney.

Three new comedies yet to debut on NBC are also vying for a spot of the 2017-18 line-up: legal satire “Trial & Error,” Marlon Wayans’ “Marlon” and “Great News” from 30 Rock exec producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
