NBC’s ‘Shades of Blue’ Renewed for Season Two

Seven NBC Dramas, To-Date, Are Confirmed to Return in 2016-17

NBC is adding “Shades of Blue” to its growing list of early scripted drama series renewals for 2016-17. “Shades of Blue,” starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta, joins confirmed “Blindspot,” “The Blacklist,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Med.” As one of the most DVR’d shows currently in primetime, “Shades of Blue” increased by 4.7 million viewers and 100 percent in adults 18-49 (1.3 to 2.6 rating), based on the most recent Live + 7 Day results.

Debuting on January 7, NBC has not said how many new episodes of “Shades of Blue” have been ordered for next season.
