Clean Sweep for NBC Tuesday

It was a clean Tuesday overnight sweep for NBC care of two more hours of “America’s Got Talent” (7.9 rating/14 share from 8-10 p.m.) and week two of “World of Dance” (5.6/10 at 10 p.m.), which slipped by just 14 percent from its solid week-ago opener (6.5/12 on May 30). Comparably, that 6.5 rating in the overnights one week earlier translated into 9.71 million viewers and a 2.4 rating/9 share in adults 18-49, based on the Live + Same Day data. Just two weeks into its return, meanwhile, and it is obvious “America’s Got Talent” will remain the most-watched series this summer.

Distant second-place CBS featured the combination of encore telecasts of “NCIS” (#2: 4.2/ 8) and “Bull” (#2: 3.7/ 6) from 8-10 p.m., followed by “48 Hours: NCIS” at a 3.3/ 6 (#2) at 10 p.m.

Elsewhere, recent entry “Downward Dog” on ABC finished third in the 8 p.m. hour with a 2.6/ 5 in the household overnights. And that led into repeats of “The Middle” (#3: 1.8/ 3), two episodes of “black-ish” (#3: avg. 1.7/ 3 from 9-10 p.m.), “American Housewife” (#3: 1.4/ 3) and “Fresh Off the Boat” (#3: 1.2/ 2) from 8:30-11 p.m.

Fox populated the evening with encores of “Lethal Weapon” (#4: 1.5/ 3), “The Mick” (#4: 0.9/ 2) and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (#4: 0.8/ 1). And The CW featured a repeat of “The Flash” (#5: 0.6/ 1) into an original installment of “iZombie” (#5: 0.7/ 1), which is slated to return in midseason in 2017-18.
