Eleven Dramas and Eight Comedies

Keeping in mind that nothing is etched in stone, here is the breakdown of the new network series announced for fall 2016:

-Number of new network series in total: 20 (last fall there were 21; 8 of those 21 are returning)

-Dramas: 12, Comedies: 8

-CBS: 6, ABC: 5, NBC and Fox: 3 each, CW: 2

-Monday: 4, Tuesday: 4, Wednesday: 4, Thursday: 5, Friday: 2, Saturday: 0, Sunday: 1

-The new comedies – half-hour: “American Housewife” (ABC), “The Good Place” (NBC), “The Great Indoors” (CBS), “Kevin Can Wait” (CBS), “Man With a Plan” (CBS), “Son of Zorn” (Fox), “Speechless” (ABC)

-The new comedies – one-hour: “No Tomorrow” (CW)

-The new dramas: “Bull” (CBS), “Conviction” (ABC), “Designated Survivor” (ABC), “The Exorcist” (Fox), “Frequency” (CW), “Lethal Weapon” (Fox), “MacGyver” (CBS), “Notorious” (ABC), “Pitch” (Fox), “Pure Genius” (CBS), “This is Us” (NBC), “Timeless” (NBC)
