'Bones' and New Reality/Competition 'American Grit' Step in for 'American Idol'

Veteran “Bones” will return for the second half of its current 11th season on Thursday, April 14 at 8 p.m. Airing out of it will be new military-themed reality/competition “American Grit” hosted by WWE legend John Cena. “American Grit” will follow 16 of the country’s toughest men and women as they are split into four teams and face a variety of military-grade and survival-themed challenges set in the wilderness of Pack Forest in Eatonville, WA. Cena and a group of mentors push the contestants to new heights as they vie for prize money.

“American Grit” is produced by Leftfield Pictures and executive produced by Cena, Brent Montgomery, David George, Adam Sher, Will Nothacker and Jon Kroll.

“Bones” and “American Grit” step in for “American Idol,” which concludes its 15-season run one week earlier.
