Ratings Breakdown:
It was the usual scenario on this first Monday in May. ABC led in the household overnights thanks to a dominant 7.2 rating/12 share for “Dancing with the Stars” from 8-10 p.m. And the home of “The Voice,” NBC, will win the night in adults 18-49 (and all the key young adult demographics). “The Voice” scored a 5.9/10 in the household overnights. But both ABC’s “Quantico” (#3: 2.0/ 3) and the season (or series) finale of “Taken” on NBC (#2: 3.0/ 6) lost considerably steam in the 10 p.m. hour. Chances of a second season of “Taken” are highly unlikely.

In return series news, Fox drama “Lucifer” finished fourth in the 9 p.m. hour with a 2.3/ 4. Comparably, that was a slight improvement from lead-in “Gotham” (#4: 2.2/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and 28 percent above the season (or series) finale of crime solver “APB” one week earlier (1.8/ 3 on April 24).

On CBS, it should now be officially curtains for sitcom “The Great Indoors” which moved into the Monday 9:30 p.m. half-hour with a mere 2.7/ 4 in the household overnights, which slipped from lead-in “Superior Donuts” (#3: 3.3/ 5 at 9 p.m.) by 18 percent. Earlier in the evening on CBS were already renewed comedies “Kevin Can Wait” (#3: 4.2/ 7 at 8 p.m.), featuring a guest appearance by Kevin James’ former “The King of Queens” co-star Leah Remini, and “Man with a Plan” (#3: 3.5/ 6). Both sitcoms, and “Superior Donuts,” are worthy of a larger audience on the Eye net.

“Scorpion” on CBS capped off the evening with a dominant 4.7/ 8 at 10 p.m.

Over at The CW, “Jane the Virgin” at 9 p.m. (#5: 0.6/ 1) slipped by an extensive 57 percent from lead-in “Supergirl” (#5: 1.4/ 2 at 8 p.m.).
