Ratings Breakdown:

Fox got off to a respectable start on its revamped Monday with the combination of the time period-premiere of “24: Legacy” (#2: 4.5 rating.7 share at 8 p.m.) and the series-premiere of crime drama “APB” (#2: 4.2/ 7 at 9 p.m.). Comparably, “24: Legacy” was a hefty 80 percent above “Gotham” one week earlier (2.5/ 4 on Jan. 30) and close to the 5.2/ 8 for the revival of “The X-Files” on the year-ago evening (5.2/ 8 on 2/08/16). And “APB” was 50 percent above “Lucifer” last week (2.8/ 4 on Jan. 30), with retention out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of “24: Legacy” (4.6/ 7) of a solid 91 percent. Both dramas did not lose any steam in the second half-hour, which is another promising sign.

Also in time period-premiere news last night was CBS sitcom “Superior Donuts” at a second-place 4.5/ 7 in the 9 p.m. half-hour. Comparably, this was 18 percent above “The Odd Couple” one week earlier (3.8/ 6 on Jan. 30), with full retention out of “Man With a Plan” (#3: 4.4/ 7 at 8:30 p.m.).

The Eye net’s “2 Broke Girls” moved to Monday at 9:30 p.m. with a third-place 3.8/ 6, which held 84 percent of the “Superior Donuts” lead-in. And it led into underrated drama “Scorpion” at a dominant 5.1/ 9 at 10 p.m., which bested competing “Timeless” on NBC (#2: 2.1/ 4) and relocated “Quantico” on ABC (#3: 1.9/ 3) by 143 percent and 168 percent, respectively.

Earlier in the evening on CBS was freshman Kevin James entry “Kevin Can Wait” at a second place 4.9/ 8 in the 8 p.m. half-hour, which like lead-out “Man With a Plan” seems like a shoo-in for a second season renewal.

In the 8-10 p.m. battle of ABC’s “The Bachelor” (#1: 5.2/ 8) versus NBC’s “The New Celebrity Apprentice” (#4: 2.5/ 4) it was no contest with “The Bachelor” holding a 108 percent advantage.

The CW capped off the night was typical overnight performances from “Supergirl” (#5: 1.9/ 3), which for the network is solid, and “Jane the Virgin” (#5: 0.8/ 1), which survives based on the continued critical acclaim.
