‘Supernatural’ Spin-off ‘Wayward Sisters’ in the Works

Proposed Series will Feature Kim Rhodes as Sheriff Jody Mills

Veteran CW drama “Supernatural,” which heads into season 12 this fall, will feature a backdoor pilot for a series called “Wayward Sisters,” headlined by Kim Rhodes, which would tell the story of Rhodes’ character Sheriff Jody Mills and a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy. Under Mills’ training and protection, these women will emerge as a supreme monster-fighting force.

Unlike “Supernatural,” which centers on biological brothers, “Wayward Sisters” is about a sisterhood of girls in a foster family. The spinoff hails from “Supernatural” writers and producers, showrunners Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer as well as Phil Sgriccia, Robert Berens. Warner Bros TV, which produces “Supernatural,” is the studio.

Other characters from “Supernatural” are also expected to be featured the proposed new series.
