Tuesday Final Nationals: ‘The Flash’ and ‘iZombie’ on CW Each Reach Season Highs

NBC was the Tuesday prime time victor in total viewers (10.21 million) and all key demos. It was the third consecutive night NBC had been television’s most-watched network. Helping it lead the way was another results edition of “The Voice(Women 18-34: 1.9/8; Men 18-34: 1.0/5; Women 18-49: 3.2/10; Men 18-49: 1.9/7) and their two successful Dick Wolf dramas “Chicago Med(Women 18-34: 1.6/6; Men 18-34: 0.9/4; Women 18-49: 2.6/8; Men 18-49: 1.4/5) and “Chicago Fire(Women 18-34: 1.5/6; Men 18-34: 0.9/4; Women 18-49: 2.4/8; Men 18-49: 1.4/5).

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer(Women 18-34: 1.6/6; Men 18-34: 0.9/4; Women 18-49: 2.9/9; Men 18-49: 1.8/6) on CBS — perennially, the most-watched Christmas holiday special on TV — still performed with relative potency, although comparatively from its Dec. 9, 2014 airing (10.64 million/2.8 adults 18-49 rating), it was down by about 15 percent in each total viewers and adults 18-49.

Tuesday’s episode of “The Flash(Women 18-34: 0.9/3; Men 18-34: 1.5/7; Women 18-49: 1.1/3; Men 18-49: 1.8/6) which was part one of another “Flash”/“Arrow” crossover event once again provided a boost for the show as it placed third in the 8-9 p.m. hour ahead of ABC and Fox in adults 18-49 (1.4/5), adults 18-34 (1.2/5). and in total viewers (3.94). “The Flash” was also tops in the hour in males 18-34 (1.5/7) and tied CBS for second place in males 18-49 (1.8/6).

This was the most-watched episode of “The Flash” since Feb. 17, 2015.

iZombie(Women 18-34: 0.6/2; Men 18-34: 0.6/2; Women 18-49: 0.6/2; Men 18-49: 0.6/2) had its most watched episode of the season (1.55M), was up +20 percent over its last original in adults 18-34 (0.6/2), matching a season high, and was up +20 percent in adults 18-49 (0.6/2).

It marks the CW’s most watched Tuesday night since Apr. 21, 2015.
