Peyton Manning Did Not Enjoy His First-Ever Super Bowl Party Hosting Gig

In a humorous segment during The 2017 ESPYs on ABC on July 12, host Peyton Manning hosted his very first Super Bowl party back on Feb. 5. He claimed he didn’t have a rooting interest in the Patriots-Falcons game but it was clear he was increasingly becoming disturbed as the New England Patriots — Peyton Manning’s top rival during his playing career — were making their epic comeback after once losing to the Atlanta Falcons 28-3.

Prior to the segment, the Patriots accepted the ESPY Award for the year’s Best Game for their Super Bowl LI victory and their wide receiver Julian Edelman used the opportunity to compliment the show’s host along with a dig at Peyton’s poor career playoff performances in outdoor stadiums.
