Production Begins on Freeform Drama ‘Dead of Summer’

Summer Camp is Not What is Used to Be!

Production has begun in Vancouver, Canada, on upcoming Freeform drama “Dead of Summer.” Set in the late 1980s, the focus is on Camp Stillwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills. But Stillwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.

The series stars Elizabeth Mitchell (“Lost,” ”The Purge: Election Year”), Elizabeth Lail (“Once Upon a Time”), Zelda Williams (“Teen Wolf”), Mark Indelicato (“Ugly Betty”), Alberto Frezza (“Charlie’s Angels”), Eli Goree (“The 100”), Ronen Rubinstein (“Orange Is the New Black”), Amber Coney (“Class”) and Paulina Singer (“Gotham”).
