Ratings Breakdown:
“The Women Tell All Edition” of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” topped this final Monday (and night) in July, with a consistent 4.3 rating/7 share in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that bested rival “American Ninja Warrior” on NBC (3.5/ 6) by 23 percent (but the gap in adults 18-49 and other key demos will be smaller).

In series-premiere news, CBS newsmagazine “CBSN: On Assignment” was left at the starting gate with a third-place 1.9/ 4 in the 10 p.m. hour. Comparably, that was 14 percent below an encore of “Scorpion” last week (2.2/ 4 on July 27). First in the time period was ABC’s “To Tell the Truth,” which at a 2.5/ 5 slipped from the 9:30 p.m. portion of “The Bachelette” (4.1/ 7) by 39 percent. This fall, “To Tell the Truth” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET into relocated “Shark Tank.”

Also original last night was Fox’s pairing of “So You Think You Can Dance” (#4: 2.1/ 4) and the season (or series) finale of “Superhuman” (#4: 1.3/ 2), which did not live up to its title. Week two of NBC drama “Midnight, Texas” could only muster a 2.1/ 4 at 10 p.m., which was nine percent below the already modest 2.3/ 4 opener one week earlier. That translated into 3.54 million viewers and a 0.9 rating/4 share in adults 18-49 (based on the Live + Same Day data). And action-themed docuseries “Hooten & the Lady” on The CW scored a typical 0.6/ 1 at 9 p.m. (out of a 0.7/ 1 for a repeat of “Supergirl”).
