Shiva Oswal Becomes Youngest Winner of $250,000 on ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’

Shiva Oswal, a 13-year-old resident of Cupertino, Calif., made “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” history on Nov. 14-15 by being its youngest contestant ever to win at least $250,000.

Oswal reportedly scored a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT at age 11. He’s been a participant in many history, academic and quiz bowls — both local and national — since the fifth grade.

Oswal’s appearance was part of “Whiz Kids” week on the show. His prize-winning performance came nearly one year after 14-year-old Sojas Wagle had also won $250,000 on “Millionaire”.
