Showtime Extends Order for ‘Our Cartoon President’

Showtime has extended the order of its recently introduced half-hour animated series “Our Cartoon President,” with an order for seven new episodes. Executive produced by Stephen Colbert, showrunner R.J. Fried and “Late Show” executive producer Chris Licht, “Our Cartoon President” looks to open the White House doors doors for a satirical look at a typical day in Donald Trump’s world,

The series will air the last of its initial 10-episode run on Sunday, April 8 at 8 p.m. ET,  and will then continue this summer. The political docuseries “The Circus” will take over that time-slot with a season premiere on Sunday, April 15 at 8 p.m. ET.

The premiere of “Our Cartoon President” in February drew 2.3 million subscribers and the show is averaging two million viewers per week.
