    • While what you say is true enough, it is the logic that has brought the networks to where they are now, starting with FOX hanging its hat on “Cops.”

  1. Too bad the CW can’t always do crossovers ever week as that really helped all their shows this week. Legends of Tomorrow topped Rosewood in the Demo and viewership.

    • Buying ads helps in the short term, but is unsustainable in the long term, especially when the returns are paltry as they were for CW.

      The networks used to do a lot more of those kinds of stunts (highly-promoted crossovers – special episodes) and have stopped recently (my guess is from lack of money to do it).

      Surprising CW had the budget given how poorly they’re faring money-wise.
